The massive and personalized sending of advertising messages is not the only way to take advantage of WhatsApp for the benefit of your business interests.

The most powerful marketing strategy for your company is in the palm of your hand. A smartphone and the WhatsApp application are enough to send instant and personalized messages about your services to thousands of people in just a few minutes, said business specialist Javier Zepeda .

Stickers , memes or audios can be fun on WhatsApp, the instant messaging app created in 2009 and now owned by Facebook , but they won’t give you more than a few laughs and anecdotes. WhatsApp is, said the CEO of BIOS Instala , an influential tool to exponentially grow your company or venture.

“It is a way to reach many more people with less effort, taking advantage of information technologies,” he says. “When you send a WhatsApp message, the person does see it and attend to it, when they are ready for it, unlike what happens with messages or emails,” he added.

More than 57 million Mexicans, according to eMarketer , use this instant messaging app. Mexico is thus the fifth country with the most users, after Indonesia, the United States, Brazil and, at the top, India. Even so, WhatsApp Marketing’s strategy is barely two years old in the world market.

“It is an innovative trend and it is going to be on the rise in the next five years. Almost no company in Mexico, and practically in the world, is using this strategy, so those that do know it have an important competitive advantage ”, Zepeda pointed out.

Other marketing strategies such as email marketing – based on mass mailing – barely have an open rate of 15 percent; WhatsApp Marketing would reach, Zepeda estimated, more than 90 percent.

Your call center from WhatsApp

The massive and personalized sending of advertising messages is not the only way to take advantage of WhatsApp for the benefit of your business interests. One phone number is enough to create an instant message ‘call center’ , which ensures constant attention to your customers. When you send a question via WhatsApp to that phone number, the app redirects you to a preconfigured menu. By following the instructions in this menu, you can find the solution to your question or be assisted by a member of the business team.

The implementation of these tools should be closely followed by a specialist. “Although its configuration is simple and very satisfactory, it is important to follow certain recommendations so as not to fall into ‘ spam’ or be reported to the app,” warned the specialist.
